About the Artists

Bealoo Kids was born from a backyard play date by two Canadian moms, Lucy Ryga and Bea Moritz. While their children played, they realized a shared vision for focus on family first, combined with a strong desire to express their creativity.

Designing unique, imaginative and beautiful art to inspire the imaginations of young minds seemed a great way to accomplish these objectives, and so Bealoo began.

Bea grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia where she achieved a degree in English and Fine Art at U.B.C... Following her degree, she studied computer animation and began a career with Mainframe Entertainment where she animated on popular shows including Reboot, Transformers and Barbie. After the birth of the first of her three children, Bea relocated to Kelowna, B.C. to raise her family.

Lucy grew up in Windsor, Ontario and following school began a long term management career with a large worldwide transportation company which brought her to Vancouver, B.C... Lucy left the corporate world to start a family in Kelowna and continued to dabble with many creative projects in her spare time.

Through the combination of Bea’s artistic flair and talent and Lucy’s business savvy and design concepts, they have created a line of unique, affordable, and fun art that both parents and children alike will enjoy. Bea and Lucy continue to expand their line, adding new designs of their own frequently, as well as by incorporating wonderful art from other talented parents; you can view more information on featured artists below.
